Storm is the baby of the family and turns 23 today!
She was born in a Sioux City, IA 
blizzard and thus one of the reasons her name is so apropo. Another is that she is named after Stormie Omartian a great author and woman of the faith.
She is my buddy.
A typical night if Jeanie is busy with other things is for Stormie and me to catch up on LOST, The X Files, or Band of Brothers. She has been my buddy since she was a little person and still is a great friend to me as well as my movie companion.
We also have our love of books in common. So much so that the Brighton Library knows us on a first name basis and yes, sometimes we do our part to help further literacy with our contributions to the late book fee fund.
But even with all of that, Stormie is a generous, caring woman that devotes a great deal of her time and hard earned money to charity. Whether it is at church as a youth group sponsor or on stage playing the bass guitar, Stormie has a servant heart. It is not unusual for us to receive many envelopes a month of orphaned children that Stormie has become a mother to. He treks with sister Tredessa are stellar missions into dangerous 3rd world countries to share God’s love and their faith.
I love you, Storm. You are a great musician, leader, helper, provider and friend to me and I am proud to be your dad.
I bless your going out and your coming in, I bless you with long life and God’s destiny.
