Socialization…

A simple definition:        a continuing process whereby an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behavior, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position.

Isn’t it interesting the different levels of socialization that we go through?

If you are at work and someone enters that doesn’t work there and starts giving someone you work with grief, that you will defend them, no matter how much you may not like your job (in my case, I like my job). But if that same co-worker then says something about your family, then that co-worker that you have just defended now becomes your enemy. (which didn’t happen, I’m just sayin)

I guess Michael Corleone said it best: Never take sides with anyone against the family.

A philosphy that I have taught my children all of their lives.

Especially in this present world that we live in, there has to be a constant.

There has to be a base.

There has to be a refuge.

What’s your constant?
