Jeanie said I hadn’t posted for a while, so saw something today…
We’ve all passed them on the highway, those die hard warriors that are keeping all of Colorado clean, the ozone replenished and Al Gore happy.
The Colorado Rapid Screen vans. We whiz by at 45 mph as we are entering the freeway and they send us a little card in the mail that says that we are already approved for our license plate without the emissions test and that we are doing our part to keep our environment, our environment.
I appreciate that, I do. No one likes to wait in those lines while some barely drinking age teenager reves our car’s engine until it throws a rod through the plate glass booth at my local Air Care Colorado caves.
But here’s what I saw today as I whizzed past. I only wished I really had my camera with me.
The Colorado Rapid Screen van was parked along side the entry ramp and the screener was sitting on the back bumper…SMOKING A CIGARETTE!
CLASSIC!
